You may think that the desert is a dry area without water and grass, but it is not bad to know that due to the presence of water and suitable food, this desert has a rich animal and even plant cover. The presence of animals such as wolves, jackals, sand foxes, chameleons, lizards, hyenas, all kinds of snakes, lizards and scorpions, birds such as eagles and hawks, as well as plants such as gaz, taq, erte, skanbil, kich, and oxtail confirm this claim. Even in the last few years a pair of cheetahs have been seen in this place.
High sand dunes, taq forests, salt lakes and the incredibly beautiful night sky are also among the attractions of this desert.
Salt lake: Aran and Bidgol salt lake is also located 35 kilometers from this city and with an area of about 647 square kilometers, it is considered one of the best attractions of Maranjab desert. Of course, this lake is dry and covered with salt during most of the year, however, after rain and evaporation of water, you can come across interesting scenes such as geometric shapes resulting from salt deposits, which is worth watching.
Maranjab Caravanserai: Maranjab Caravanserai is a caravanserai and a castle located in the Aran and Bidgol deserts, next to the Aran and Bidgol salt lakes, and was built by Shah Abbas in 1012 lunar year (632 solar). Maranjab Caravanserai, which has 3,500 square meters of infrastructure and 29 rooms, is located at an altitude of 850 meters above the level of the Azad Sea, on the southern edge of Qom Lake, and 50 kilometers northeast of the city center of Aran and Bidgol. Maranjab Caravanserai is located on the Silk Road and the connection between Khorasan and Isfahan passes through there.
